What We Believe

"When Christ died, He died for you individually just as much as if you'd been the only man in the world." - C. S. Lewis

The following are the core beliefs of Hilltop Community Church based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible.
All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows from these biblical doctrines.

God

There is one God eternally existent in 3 persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of Jesus in His virgin birth, sinless life, and in His atoning death on the cross, in His resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father. And in His coming again in glory and power. We believe in the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling enables the Christian to live a godly life.

The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the infallible Word of God, revealing God's love to the world.

Mankind's Need of Salvation

All people sin and Jesus is the ONLY way to salvation. We believe that a person must repent of sin and through faith in Jesus be born again by the Holy Spirit. We believe through this process a person will have eternal life.

Biblical Upholding of Life

We believe in the sacredness of human life from conception to its natural end. We must be concerned for both the physical and spiritual well-being of our fellow man. We believe in God's plan for human sexuality, it is to be expressed within the context of marriage, between one male and one female.

The Church

We believe in the unity of believers and that all true believers are members of His body, the Church.

The Call

We must dedicate ourselves to prayer, service and to the ministry of evangelism. We believe that sharing and proclaiming the message of salvation and discipleship is a responsibility of all followers of Jesus.
